Office visits are by appointment only. Insurance cards must be presented at each visit. Any required insurance copays are expected at the time of the visit. Please come to your scheduled appointment at least 15 minutes in advance to be checked-in and complete any necessary paperwork. If you arrive 10 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment or wait until a later time to be seen by the doctor.
Dr. Truong currently caters to 5000+ patients. Due to the high volume of the practice, we require patients to notify us at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel/reschedule their appointment(s). Appointments canceled/rescheduled OR late, within the 24 hours prior to the appointment, will be deemed as a “No Show” and may incur a $25 fee that cannot be charged to your insurance. This charge must be paid prior to scheduling your next appointment. Accumulating 3 or more No Show/Late appointments, may result in the family being asked to find a new provider OR a temporary suspension.
Newborn appointments are made after the baby is born and within a week of birth, if the baby is apparently healthy. Due to the timely process of adding a newborn onto insurance, we require that the first couple appointments be seen as Selfpay and paid in full at the end of the appointment. Parents/guardians have until the baby is 2mo of age to acquire coverage AND pass along the information to us. Claims are resubmitted once insurance info is entered and a reimbursement check will be written at your next appointment, after insurance has fulfilled the charges.
While Dr. Truong does recommend most vaccines, we believe it is up to the parents to decide what the child does and does not receive.
Tendercare Pediatrics does everything possible to minimize the cost of medicare. All payments are due at the time of service, unless arrangements have been made in advance. This could include, but not limited to, any applicable co-insurance, deductibles, or copays for participating insurance companies. Our office accepts cash, check, and/or credit card (Visa & Mastercard) payments. A small surcharge may be applied if paying by credit card. There is a $35 fee for any returned checks and any remaining balance must be paid with cash or a debit card.
Insurance
As a courtesy, Tendercare Pediatrics will bill any eligible insurances. The parent(s)/guardian(s) are responsible for knowing your child(s)/children’s eligibility and coverage prior to your appointment.
Prescription refill requests must be made by phone call during regular office hours, if possible. Please have your pharmacy’s phone number and address readily available and allow at least 24-48 hours for the doctor to complete your request.
In the case of an emergency or after hours care, Dr. Truong does his best to be of assistance. Should your child/children be in a possible emergency situation, call our office and we will do our best to respond ASAP. If there is any concern about the seriousness of the emergency or in the event of a true life/death emergency, it is highly recommended that you go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
