About Us

In 1979, Dr. Thanh Truong (3rd from the LEFT) arrived in the United States as a refugee from Vietnam. He made contact with an organization and was sent to Peoria, IL, where he was placed with a loving foster family. Knowing no English, he was sent to high school as a sophomore and had to learn things very quickly. Fortunately for him, he had an amazing foster mom who also happened to teach English. Even with that rough start, Dr. Truong went on to become fluent in English, as well as a couple of other languages. 

By the end of high school, he graduated 11th out of 200 students. From there, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Science from Illinois Wesleyan University. Dr. Truong supported himself through college as a nursing assistant, picking up other odd jobs here and there. He proceeded to further his medical education by receiving his medical degree from RUSH University in Chicago.

Prior to starting his own practice, Dr. Truong worked for a private pediatric facility in Cincinnati Children's Medical center. He gathered all his knowledge and experience, and applied it to his own practice, which he started in 1996.

Dr. Truong, along with his wife and eldest daughter, currently manage the practice with future plans to include a couple other family members in the medical field.
